Volunteer

We will be sending regular teams to assist at the school/community center.  Some of the teams will be providing medical and dental services. Some will teach English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Others will be providing computer instruction while some will provide arts and crafts among other things.

But all of our volunteers will make “home visits”.  At these occasions we take a package of food items to the families of our students and we sit and talk (mostly listen)--giving and receiving hospitality.  It is in these situations we hear each family’s story; the heartbreak and loss related to their escape from Syria and their hope of returning.

Are you concerned that you do not have the appropriate skills? Can you listen with compassion? If so, that is an adequate skill.  Please join us!
